| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Goh and Taki work as underground drugs and arms snatchers! Their fate begins to twist when people that claim to be Taki's "foster parents" show up. As Taki's mysterious past becomes unraveled, the two become exceedingly closer.

One of my favorite yaoi series May 2, 2008 Christian Otto (Germany) Goh and Taki are some kind of 'good thieves'. They steal mostly drugs from the bad guys. They don't know much about their employers, but there are hints that they are hired by the police. As such the story is quite action packed and Goh and Taki have to avoid some pretty dangerous situations. But as a team they can rely on one another.
On the personal level it's a little bit more complicated as Goh is gay and Taki straight. But that doesn't keep Goh from trying his luck with Taki.
Volumes 3 and 4 are a little bit different than volumes 1 and 2. The first two volumes consist of shorter stories that focus mainly on the different jobs Goh and Taki have to carry out. The last two volumes on the other hand are one big story which reveals a lot about Goh's and Taki's past. And thus I strongly recommend to only read volume 3 when you already have also bought volume 4, because when volume 3 ends you'll be desperate to read volume 4 straight away. ;-)
Yellow has an excellent story and the drawings are gorgeous. There's also a lot of humor in this series. Overall an excellent yaoi.
disappointing April 10, 2007 Furio (Genova - Italy) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
This review covers episodes 2 to 4 which are very much alike.
I was delighted with the first one: gone were the womanish, delicate characters so common in other yaoi, replaced by two strong, witty males involved in dangerous adventures.
I do not know why but with her second episode the author, instead of pursuing this fun filled path, gradually making her two men fall for each other, decided to take a very serious turn for melodrama. Taki has a heart rending -and uninteresting- past that comes back to literally hunt him. Gone are the fun, the humour, the light hearted adventures, replaced by endless tears and guilt, back in the obnoxious routine of a genre made to please romance loving straight women more than gay men.
I guess I should just give up the whole genre...
Thank you! March 15, 2007 Pamela Mcbride (NC) Thank you sooo much. I love this series, and it was totally awesome!
A beautiful yaoi August 14, 2006 angel.camui (albuquerque) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Makoto Tateno really knows how to get you into a story and leave you wanting more! It's a great volume in a great series! If you like yaoi, you should buy the whole series! ^_^
A killer cliffhanger May 4, 2006 Sean Martin (in a state of denial) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
When I started reading YELLOW, I thought, okay, a cute copy of FAKE, sorta like FAKE Lite. But once I start a series, I like to see it through, so I went into Volume 3 with no greater expectations than "they'll wait till Book 4 for the Big Moment between these two".
Well, I was definitely wrong on that point. The author knows how to throw a curve ball when you're expecting a straight pitch, and the cliffhanger at the end of this volume was completely unnerving. With all the "trash yaoi" out there (with the standardized plots and predictable characters), this one is emerging as something on par with FAKE in its own right.
As noted, do NOT start reading the series with this volume. You'll need info from the two previous books for it to make sense and to see how wonderfully the sexual tension is brought up step by step.
