Product Description After his sister's death, high school student Aoto lives with his brother-in-law Takashi, whom he is secretly in love with. Takashi has to go on a business trip and asks his friend Masayuki, a devilishly handsome older guy, to keep an eye on Aoto. Aoto doesn't know how to take the flirty Masayuki, and wonders if the portion of his heart he has closed will ever be open again?

| Customer Reviews: An entertaining read January 6, 2010 kaya j (U.K.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The main character is Aota, a final year high school student, who has been living with his brother-in-law, Takashi, since his sister died. At the start of the story, Aoto is struggling with feelings he has for Takashi, who faithfully still thinks of Aoto's sister as his only love. Aoto then meets Takashi's friend, Masayuki, a light-hearted, carefree guy, who seems to like him.
Overall, this is a really entertaining, solid read. Despite sounding a bit angsty, the tone of the story is actually pretty light; this is mainly because of Masayuki and the relationship he has with Aoto- they tend to bicker a lot (but in a cute way!). The characters are likeable & well developed and the story progresses at a good pace. In terms of explicitness, like most of Rie Honjou's work, this is pretty explicit- definitely a hot read! (There's a side story as well, with Aoto's friend, which is pretty sweet.)
If you haven't come across Rie Honjou's work before I really recommend it. Her artwork and characters are beautiful. Her stories have a lot of depth and have a way of really drawing you in as well. It's great to see another of her series published in English, especially `Love Skit', which is one of my favourites! I definitely recommend picking this up if you're looking for a sweet, entertaining read.
All Around Highly Enjoyable Yaoi December 12, 2009 Calamity Jane (MA, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I liked everything about this yaoi manga! I enjoyed Aoto and Masayuki's story a lot and the short spinoff is really sweet. I found all of the characters to be likable (not even one annoyed me), but enjoyed Masayuki the most as he was the most humorous. There's enough sex to satisfy any yaoi fan and the artwork is beautiful. This mangaka is quickly becoming one of my favorites and this book is definitely being added to my yaoi collection.
801 media has once again done another good job of publishing.
Love Skit December 8, 2009 H. Carson (Minnesota) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
`Love Skit' is an enjoyable manga, though perhaps not as sparkling as some we have seen. The main character, Aoto, is a head strong boy, though he has a sensitive side, as he is in unrequited love with his brother-in-law, Takashi. Takashi, a caring man, is still deeply in love with his dead wife.
Masayuki enters at this point, and pursues Aoto fervently in his friendly, affable, horn dog way. I found Masayuki to be a funny character, who takes some of Aoto's rebuffs seriously as to his old age and other flaws. Though the course of love does not run smooth, and though it is a journey we have taken before, it is enjoyable none the less. The romantic triangle could have taken another direction, but I was fine with the outcome (As it netted us a well drawn sex scene.)
The second love story in this Manga was one that I personally found to be quite appealing, and the reason I pushed the review to 5 stars. The Uke is a very unique individual, but adorable in his own way. Not a fighter, his hair style leads him to be the target of high school bullies looking to make names for themselves with their mad street fighting skills. Until one such street fighter is beaten and develops an interest in him, turning his world upside down. I was charmed by this story, but I have a thing for Uke's who don't look like the stereotypical Uke.
All in all, `Love Skit' is a steady, solid manga.
So I was hoping for a different outcome.. November 20, 2009 R.Parklane (Tokyo, Japan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Read both Love Skit and DogXCat in the same day. Found myself enjoying the deligtful and sexy DogXCat more. Don't get me wrong. Love Skit is a fine release from 801 media. There is a decent plot with a bit of angst, clean artwork and explicit sex to satisfy. But guess I just want a different outcome and a bit more punch to the love triangle here. Young Aoto has been in love with his brother-in-law, Takashi, for a long time. But it is unrequited love as Takashi still could not get over his wife's death which he blames himself. And maybe because of this and the fact that Aoto reminds him of his dead wife, he continues to care for and keep Aoto with him. Enters Takashi's close friend Masayuki who apparently have feelings for Aoto ever since he saw Aoto at his sister's funeral. So we have the persistent Masayuki pursuing Aoto. Takashi does later questions his feelings for Aoto after a confrontation with Masayuki. Here I was wishing for the twist that did not happen. Oh well.. There is a spin-off little romance on Akira, Aoto's close friend which is cute but tame.
Still, Love Skit is an enjoyable read. The explicit sex is well drawn! And 801-chan's panel is cute.
