Sunflower is another story based on characters from Kinsei High. I will recommend that you read Ordinary Crush 1 & 2. Two of the characters Aikawa and Furuya are side characters along with Ryuhei playing a support role in the side story. Though if you don't you won't be totally lost for they do have some flashbacks. The back of the book description is off too because not anywhere did I see that Ryuhei agree to or became a "knight in shining armor" to Imaizumi. It also states that Izumi is h*mo-ph*bic though I don't really see it. The description on Amazon is better though I still don't see where Ryuheu appoints himself as Imaizumi protector.
Imaizumi is from the countryside so he doesn't know about Kinsei High and the 90 population percent. He is a little weirded out by this, though as the story progresses he seems to understand and accept his fellow students. The side story is about Aikawa and Furuya and their getting closer. The stories are over all BL with just one short graphic non-explicit scene. Volume 2 is forth coming (release date in September). I liked it but if you're looking for hot and heavy this isn't for you.
