Product Description Ritsuka Aoyagi is a sixth-grader who's troubled by the loss of his older brother. One day he meets a mysterious man who claims to have fought alongside his brother. His name is Sobi Agatsuma who wants Ritsuka to become his new sacrifice since his brother died. Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: ANIMATION/ADULT SWIM UPC: 631595061376 Manufacturer No: AWDVD0613
Amazon.com The broadcast series Loveless (2005) has provoked arguments among fans over whether it should be considered a shounen-ai (boy-love) program. Ritsuka is an alienated sixth grader: his older brother Seimei died under mysterious circumstances; his mother is prone to irrational, violent rages. Two years ago, Ritsuka underwent a change he doesn't understand that's left him unsure of his own existence. Soubi, a mysterious college student, appears and announces he loves Ritsuka and will do anything for him--and that he knows how and why Seimei was killed. With Soubi as his protector, Ritsuka enters a supernatural battle against the forces of the sinister Septimal Moon. Loveless is an odd program that plays like a skewed mixture of X and Gravitation. Ritsuka and Soubi look like standard bishonen (beautiful boys)--except Ritsuka sports a cat's ears and tail; all the children in the series do. The handsome backgrounds suggest watercolors and woodblock prints, but the story taking place in front of them makes little sense. Although it's not a typical yaoi romance, Loveless does contain gay themes that may offend some viewers. (Rated 16 and older: violence, tobacco use, suggested homosexuality) --Charles Solomon

Good-but a lie!!!!!!!! April 26, 2008 Holly Fipps (Oklahoma, USA) This is one of the best animes I have ever watched but it is NOT in English or even have English dialogue as an option. You can only only use English subtitles, which is fine with me, but I know that it bothers some people so I thought I should warn you. If you don't mind subtitles though this is an excellent DVD to buy; it's worth your money.
WATCH THIS IMMEDIATELY! April 14, 2008 G V (Missouri City, Texas United States) My favorite anime/yaoi of all time. The artwork, characters, storyline, music and cast is all PERFECT and of the HIGHEST QUALITY I've ever seen. YOU WILL LOVE IT. I could go on for ages about how great Loveless is, but I won't. Just WATCH IT ASAP and learn for yourself!
Anime great, the package not so much. March 22, 2007 Tierry Leoine (Europe) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The anime has a lovely style. It's beautiful in the terms of 3D animation and design. But, unfortunately, for those who do not know the *****, it may not be very fulfilling, since it serves more as an introduction. Also, some might be a little bored, since the anime goes exactly like the *****, even having so of the same shots in it. Personally, it does not bother me, but i know it might be annoying to some people. Yet, i think if You liked the *****, the anime is also worth it, even if there is no booklet, no additional stuff, only the DVD and the box. The design is well worth it.
Great series... Not for everyone March 18, 2007 M. Frisk (Denver, CO USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Loveless is a great buy for its awesome battle sequences, its original and unique battle style, and its pretty animation. It also touts a great buy for psychology-anime fans (i.e. Neon Genesis Evangelion). On the other hand, there are very strong inferences of a non-platonic relationship between the main characters that would be considered statutory rape in the US. Also, there is a lot of angst on the part of Aoyagi Ritsuka, and it is implied that he was previoulsy abused by his parents, and possibly his older brother, Seimei. Great series, but definitely not for everyone.

One of the best animes out there! I love that it's in Japanese, voice overs tend to spoil brilliant movies :) I HIGHLY reccomend this!!
