Product Description Things between the second-year high school classmates Shinya Ohtani and Miyako Tachibana just seemed to click. They and their girlfriends all ended up becoming close friends. With Ohtani still maintaining a no-kissing policy with his girlfriend, he's starting to wonder if it's really the right way to date. When Tachibana says that he sympathizes and understands how Ohtani feels, Ohtani starts to think of Tachibana as more than just a friend... maybe something more than his own girlfriend! The boys from the original Words of Devotion are back again! Enjoy the series conclusion with Words of Devotion Volume 2!

Better than the first one February 6, 2008 Angel Well, it is better than the first one, but it still lacks that special something that makes you want to keep reading it over and over. It does give you more insight on the guys; and compliments the first one quite nicely. Here's two tips to help you decide on your purchase:
Positive: If you've read the first one and felt like it left you wanting for more, you should get the second one, because it really brings it together.
Not so positive: The artwork could be better. As a whole, the story is average and at times feels like it's lacking.
I enjoy this more than Volume 1. Well explored young love. January 2, 2008 R.Parklane (Tokyo, Japan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoy this more than Volume 1. Keiko Konno has done a marvelous job exploring young love here. The first 3 chapters is a prequel, depicting our 2 boys' attempt to succeed with their respective girl friends when in fact they are slowly but surely falling for each other. Otani is the empitome of all that is awkward to be gay at a tender age. And he is definitely no match for his most out-spoken girl friend all out to get him. Tachibana is the confident one and it is heartening that he cares for and looks out for Otani. When did their friendship turn into love ? In the end it does not really matter for this awkward but committed couple.
The second couple is of course Shogo and his American boy friend Alfred. Theirs is a tender and sweet love story as they are forced to live in separate oontinents and get to see each other a few times a year. Yet their love is strong. And this time we have Alfred flying over to Japan to visit Shogo. How does Alfred come up with the money ? The answer is a toucing scene. Really feel for this couple.
The short bedtime stories on the 2 couples are cute. And of course the phone sex!
