Cute Pretty Boys August 13, 2008 J. Gebhard (CA USA) I wasn't very sure about this work, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The plot seemed quite dull and overused. After all, how many boys' dorm relationships can there be? The main character look really girly, which is something I do not prefer (I like my men, men). However, between the supporting characters and the unusual constitution of the uke, I found the work to be really good. To start off with, the uke, who is REALLY girly, has an extremely weak constitution. His nervousness, despite his desire to be with his lover, does most of the interrupting between the couple. It leads to some rather funny/embarrassing moments that I had never seen portrayed in yaoi before.
The supporting characters are also really interesting. The uke's older brother is also the school dietician. His open homosexuality is downright shameful, but forces the story to move forward. Plus, his extreme openness leads to an excellent side story that is very re-readable.
Once again, the sex scenes are edited, but at a tolerable level. Still, quite good, but nothing explicit.
The art is quite beautiful and very clean. Also, DMP did a good job with work by making the pages white, thick and with good inking.
Very Wonderful! August 8, 2008 Giau Sang (St. Louis, MO, USA) When I bought this Manga, I thought that it would be like all the other manga's I had. But when I read it, it was on a different level. The plot was different as well! Over all this manga was great! The art was wonderful!
Interesting April 26, 2008 Melanie Casillas (California, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Considering this was my first yaoi book of any kind that I have ever bought before, I thought it was pretty good. It was a cute story and there were parts in the story that made me laugh. Both boys are really cute when they are trying to say something but have issues not being able to say it. Overall it was a cute read.
4 stars for the story on sweet young love. 5 stars for the lovely artwork. March 19, 2008 R.Parklane (Tokyo, Japan) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love this mangaka's artwork. Very expressive and graceful and her boys are just so pretty and adorable. The main story on a sempai and his kohai is funny, light, angsy and sweet. As commented, it is sexy without being explicit. Both sempai and kohai complements each other nicely without one dominating or preying on the other. The kohai who turns out to be the seme (LOL) is caring and shy while we have the lovely sempai desperately trying to get his kohai's attention. It does not help that the poor sempai is prone to nervous breakdown when he is "excited". Then we have the sempai's perverted brother who is the teacher in their school. This brother is an interesting contrasting character and his short story as he subtly helps out a student is both enjoyable and a nice surprise. An enjoyable sweet Yaoi. You just have to love all those vivid facial expressions and eyes.
Fun and worth rereading March 1, 2008 Geneine K. Laws Fans of books like My Paranoid Next Door Neighbor (Yaoi) will enjoy this book. It's fun with a good amount of smut that will make you giggle. I'd recomend it to any of my friends.
