| Customer Reviews: Pretty enjoyable. February 26, 2010 R.Parklane (Tokyo, Japan) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Taishi Zaou's earliest works and consist of 4 stories, 2 of them loosely connected. The artwork may not be as polished (so claimed the mangaka) but I thought all her boys are so pretty and cute.
Electric Hands about 2 students is lighthearted and amusing. One seems to have hands fetish and have fallen in love with the other one's hands. Does not help that he gets electric jolts when touched by said hands. Of course he is merely aroused.
My favorite is the 2nd story, "Brothers Battle", about 2 siblings rivaling for their new step brother's love. Said step brother was portrayed as homophobic in Electric Hands and now we understand why in the second story. Certain scenes in Brothers Battle have me crackling aloud. "Onset of Puberty Power" vs "Big Brother Power" anyone? Some may be uncomfortable with a 12 year old seme (Aki-kun is really cute) but nothing explicit so it is all pure fun Boy Love.
3rd story is quite similar to the 2nd story, again about underage boys love, this time between an aggressive 12 year old seme and a 16 year old uke. Again nothing explicit and just plain fun.
Last story about the hypnotic power of a pair of seductive eyes is the most explicit in this collection even if nothing is revealed except for one small panel (LOL).
Lastly we have a lot of snapshots with all the characters intermingling with one another which is again pretty comical.
Overall a pretty enjoyable collection. And I have to said Doki Doki quality is pretty good too.
SO cute! February 18, 2010 Shad Shadow 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Very much like Eiki Eiki style. This is really a series of cute oneshots. It is yaoi, but not hard at all (the yaoi side of shonen-ai). Anyway, I love the couples in this book. They give a story that would normally seem mundane and turn it funny and cute. Definitely one to buy.
